About the work “Itsukushima”

Since the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11th in 2011, I was emotionally confused with grief, anger and disordered various feelings for a while.
This is something that happened when I visited Miyajima in Hiroshima for business photographing in April.

Flux and reflux of the tides in Itsukushima Shrine, feeling of winds from Mt.Misen and Seto Inland Sea made me feel an urge to taking photographs without business.
Taking photographs for the sake of it, I experienced a sense of wonder as if my spiritual void is filled slowly.
This was also curious that I already had image of making one work by two photos when I was taking them.

This print work (I feel like as if) saved myself.
I couldn't be happier if this work tells you the image in my mind.
